Unlock your potential at LewisGale Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Cath Lab and the Special Procedures unit. - You will collect specimens for testing. - You will assist physician during procedure. You will maintain and stock Special Procedure area. - You will be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings. - You will provide relevant and complete documentation on patient related activity. - You will educate patient and family related to procedure, medications, follow-up home care.
  - You will assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures. What qualifications you will need:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
