  • Travel RN position in the Emergency Department at Lewisgale Medical Center, Salem, VA.
  • Contract length: 13 weeks.
  • Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments and possess 2-3 years of ER experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have BLS certification.
    • Must have ACLS certification.
    • Must have PALS certification.
    • Preferred certifications: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS.
      • Schedule Information
      • Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics; increases by 4-5 RNs at 11am and by 1-2 RNs at 3pm.
      • Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics.
      • Weekends: Four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Scrub color/attire: navy blue or white.
        • No on-call shifts.
          • Additional Details
          • Unit has 27 beds and 50 staff members (25 medics).
          • Patient ratios are 4-6:1.
          • Typical procedures include RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement.
