  • 13 weeks
  • 3x12 hour nights, 18:45-07:15
  • Located on 13 South, Labor and Delivery is a 24 bed unit providing specialized care to low and high risk pregnant patients during the antepartum period through delivery.
  • Referring center for high risk pregnancies for Southwest VA, receiving patients within an approximate 150 mile radius.
  • Accept pregnant patients over the gestational age of 20 weeks.
  • Maintain a 3 bed triage area, 2 ORs and 2 post-anesthesia beds.
  • Deliveries average 250 per month; triage patients average 350 per month.
  • Staffing Targets based on VDH Obstetrics regulations: 1:1-2 Laboring patients, 1:3-4 Antepartum patients, 1:3 Triage patients, 2:1 OBOR patients, 1:1-2 OB PACU patients.
    • Job Requirements
    • Competency and experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and OBOR (combination or separate competency of scrubbing or circulating) preferred.
      • Schedule Information
      • 36 hour full time
      • Every third weekend
      • Rotating holidays
      • On call required - variable amount; maximum 24 hours per 6 week schedule block.

        • Unit located on 13 South, Labor and Delivery.

          • I9 or attestation required.
          • Drivers License/State ID required within 48 hours of signing.

          • Residency Declaration Form required if candidate is working on a compact license.
