- Job Summary: RN position in the Emergency Department at Lewisgale Medical Center, Salem, VA.
- Job Overview: High acuity ER with a focus on stroke protocol
and emergency interventions.
- Job Requirements
- Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
- Must have 2-3 years ER experience
- Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH
- Schedule Information
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekends: Four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period
- No on call shifts.
- Unit Specific Information
- Day Shift: 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pm
- Night Shift: 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics
- Additional Details
- Unit Information: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 27
- Number of Staff: 50 RN/25 Medics
- Patient Ratios: 4-6:1
- Typical Procedures: RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement.
