  • Job Summary: RN position in the Emergency Department at Lewisgale Medical Center, Salem, VA.
  • Job Overview: High acuity ER with a focus on stroke protocol and emergency interventions.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
    • Must have 2-3 years ER experience
    • Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH
      • Schedule Information
      • Weekends are four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four week scheduling period
      • No on call.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Day Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pm
        • Night Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics
        • Typical procedures performed: RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)
