Department/Unit Summary
Our community is growing and thriving. To better serve our communities growth SOVAH Danville Emergency Department is currently under a complete renovation to better serve our patients. The new Emergency Department will be a 31-bed unit with a 4:1 ratio for acute patients, with designated behavioral health safe rooms. Our Emergency Department provides care to patients across the lifespan for all medical emergencies. We are an academic teaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants. As a SOVAH health team member, you will have a voice to improve patient care and feel a strong sense of satisfaction in making a difference in the healthcare community as well as patients every day lives.
The Registered nurse acts a leader in the healthcare system at SOVAH Danville by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with patients and their support systems, collaborating with physicians and other team members to provide optimal patient care, utilizing evidence-based practice in care, and providing compassion in care for our patients. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, accountability, and authority for provision and management of care with accordance with current policies and procedures.
About our Health System SOVAH Danville is a 250 bed hospital located in Danville, VA, and is part of Lifepoint Health , a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier - with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast. Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school ( Bachelor's degree preferred). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification

- Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required , or within six (6) months of hire

- Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association , preferred
