Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - ICU Experience Job Description: - Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes day shift directors, managers, clinical coordinators, RNs, externs, and paramedics, with focus on night shifts predominantly staffed by RNs and externs. - Maintain patient ratios of 2:1, 3:1, or 1:1 based on patient needs. - Utilize various medical equipment such as Tablo, Belmont, Baxter Pumps, Codman EVDs, Hillrom Call System, Imobile, and Hemosphere. - Operate with the Meditech electronic medical record system. - Perform typical procedures including external ventricular drains (EVDs), continuous renal replacement therapy (SLED), central line insertion, paracentesis/thoracentesis, lumbar drains, and targeted temperature management (TTM). - Ensure optimal team focus and collaboration within the unit. - Be open to floating throughout the facility when needed. - Adhere to a dress code requiring navy blue scrubs. - Work every other weekend; no on-call requirements. - No block scheduling or set schedules, but flexible to accommodate most scheduling needs. - Foster a patient-focused environment conducive to optimal recovery and safety.
